The Client
The 'client' is deemed to be the instructing party, whether the home owner or the home owner's agent and will be liable for payment of the fee.
The Inspectors
Fast HIPS are Government qualified and licensed Energy Assessors and provide Energy Certificates for UK dwellings. They will be the 'inspectors' acting for the client.
Receipt of instructions
Instructions will be deemed to have been received from the client to the inspectors by telephone, email or post. Instructions will be acknowledged by the inspectors by email or post.
Fees
The fee will be according to the Inspector's fee structure as at the time that the instruction is received as advertised on our website.
Payment
Payment for the HIP pack or EPC are required on the day of order or day of inspection of your property. Please note we cannot order any of the documentation required until payment is made in full.
Payment for trade clients must be received within seven working days from receipt of the Certificate by the client. 30 day accounts are available upon request.
Payment methods is Credit Card online / cheque or cash on the day of inspection or by post.
Our prefered payment is cheque or cash on day of inspection and you will be given a receipt to confirm your payment.
Money Back Guarantee
At FastHIPS UK, the customer experience is very important to us. We always endeavour to provide you with a first class service. It is in this regard we are pleased to offer you a Money Back Guarantee. The terms are quite simple, we aim to provide you the customer with your First Marketing HIP from 24 to 72 hours from placement of order. (Note 72 hours does not include weekends). If we miss this 72 hour deadline by a significant amount we will happily refund the cost of your order. Furthermore if after 28 days you have not received you Full HIP Pack as per the guidelines provided by the Property Codes Compliance Board (PCCB) we will refund the cost of your order. Please note our current lead time for Full HIP Packs is averaging 6 working days. A working day is defined as Mon-Fri 8:30am to 5:30pm.
The PCCB are one of our industry regulators & auditors. This guarantee is subject to you, the customer, returning the necessary documentation including the Property Information Questionnaire (PIQ) form and your availability to host our Domestic Energy Assessor at the property. Please note if the DEA appointment is outside of the 72 hours and is agreed as yourself as acceptable then the money back guarantee ceases to apply. Furthermore your property must be registered with the Land Registry so we can retrieve title and plan.
However please note we cannot be held responsible if third parties such as the appointed council or water board authority which supply the documentation required for your Home Information Pack are late in returning this information to us. As long as we have ordered the appropriate documentation following the guidelines laid down by the PCCB and have documented proof of these orders, we are unable to provide a refund under these circumstances.
Home Information Packs must be paid for in advance so that we can order the necessary documents for your HIP pack so that we can provide a refund should the criteria above be met.
Please note, you will be notified as soon as we are made aware of any possible delays as part our policy of keeping the customer informed. If documents are delayed by circumstances beyond our control your first HIP will still be valid as laid down in the Terms and Conditions of the PCCB.
If there are delays beyond these time frames set out as above which are caused by FastHIPS UK's neglect, we will happily refund your money.
Cancellation Policy
After the Searches have been initiated it will not be possible to refund your fees as we ourselves are unable to get a refund from the suppliers. Therefore if you wish to cancel at this stage you will still be liable for the cost of the search unless its meets the criteria outlined in the Money Back Guarantee section above.
Scope of the survey
The scope of the survey will be that laid out by the legislation current at the time of the inspection and will be set out on page four of the Certificate. The Certificate will be automatically lodged by the Inspector on the Government certified database which will be available for inspection by the client.
HIPs searches are carried by registered companies who are members of Association of HIP pack providers and Member of the Search Code.
